Repurposeful Monday

Let's kick the week off with some outstanding examples of imaginative upcycling and repurposing:

I want one of these hardware store bins - great
for storage of any kind.

Little wooden shims can be purchased at Lowe's, Home
Depot, or any hardware store for less than a quarter each.
Very cool art project.

The bookshelf to the right was created by painting and stacking four end tables.   Love it.

The beautiful lamp to the left was made with plaster of paris and - wait for it - coffee filters!  Incredibly cool.

Another example of how to use an old window.
The colorful botanical prints are actually from
an old gardening book.  So fleaChic!

Here are two useful repurposing ideas for the kitchen:

Growing your own herbs is healthful and economical.

How precious is this teapot floor lamp?!

Everyone of us has seen headboards at
thrift stores and flea markets that were in
pretty sad shape.  Decoupage one in maps.
Terrific for a little boy's room.

See - just about everything can be recycled.
Darling windchime.

Mason jar chandeliers have been all over the internet,
i.e. Pinterest, but I never get tired of seeing this unique
upcycling of old light fixtures.

If you're feeling a little more adventurous, create
your own chandelier with mismatched teacups,
silver plated platters, spoons and serving pieces.

And remember, carpe diem Monday!

  1. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the
book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but
other than that, this is magnificent blog.
An excellent read. I will definitely be back.
